Nature Scan PART3: Bloom
Flowers at different stages of bloom become point clouds. Their petal textures, noise and gaps remain, allowing a fleeting bloom to continue through moving images.

A bloom is brief. I turn flowers into point clouds, retaining the scan’s incompleteness so that noise, gaps and petals become materials together.
The film extends the time spent looking at a flower while keeping traces of its capture.

Preserving a moment in bloom
The continuous petal surface becomes particles, retaining the scan’s noise and gaps. These imperfect digital forms rotate and breathe against black, allowing a moment of flowering to continue on another timescale.
