Biography
I am Jackson Xu, working as Nanooooh, a cross-media artist using nature scanning as a medium. I scan plants and observe the overlooked forms of branches, roots and petals, then reorganize these materials through code, real-time simulation and moving images. My practice spans films, experimental visuals and interactive installations.
I create interactive installations and real-time visual systems for exhibitions, cultural institutions, brands, and live performance contexts. I have worked with LEGO, ASICS, and Burberry, and my work has been presented at SAT Festival Montréal, the 10th Shenzhen-Hong Kong Biennale of Urbanism/Architecture, Tianjin K11 Select, Shanghai Zhenghao Art Museum, and exhibitions across China.
